Art on the Move – a unique and intriguing fundraiser for the local chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists. (Thompson Nicola Shuswap Chapter).

If you love art and you love a good bargain, this is the sale for you!  Trying to decorate a first home and don’t have much cash?  You should find a treasure or two at Art on the Move.

Most of us have paintings, prints, photos, or drawings that no longer have a place on our walls or in our hearts.  Rather than store them in a closet, sell them at Art on the Move!

WHAT YOU CAN SELL: Works from local artists and across Canada and around the world.  Varieties of subject matter, genres and mediums.  Love pastels?  Prefer traditional oil paintings?  Drawn to abstracts?  We want to sell them all for you.  Our goal is to have over 400 pieces for buyers to view and purchase.   Prices will vary, and the goal is to make art affordable.  The art will move from one owner to another, bringing pleasure to homes.

WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE? The elegant former Courtroom Gallery and Main Gallery at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre, 7 Seymour St. W., in Kamloops will be completely decked out with art bargains.  Easy on the eyes and the pocket book.

Want to sell up to 8 pieces of artwork?   Drop off days will be announced in March 2020 for those wishing to consign their art for sale at Art on the Move.   There is a small fee to enter and the seller keeps 60% of the price when a piece sells.  Detailed information and entry forms can be found at http://tnsc.ca/aotm.

LOOKING TO BUY SOMETHING SPECIAL?  The sales days are to be announced.  Doors are open daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. except the final Sunday when we close at 4 p.m.   As pieces sell, new ones will take their place, so come back daily.

Sunday is mark down day!  Shoppers are encouraged to return to the Courthouse and find even better bargains – but be aware that your favourite piece might have sold.  Don’t let it get away!

For further information, or with questions, call Cathie Peters at 250 828-0190 or email treasurer@tnsc.ca.

We work hard to provide the support visual artists in the Thomspon Nicola Shuswap Region deserve, and we could really use your help. All proceeds from this sale are put to good use in the TNSC education and art exposure programs.

We extend our gratitude to the City of Kamloops for support !
