GUIDELINES FOR SELLERS:

WHAT CAN BE SUBMITTED IN THE SALE:

Framed and unframed original art, prints, posters, photos.  Original art submitted by the artist is limited to 5 entries, but up to 5 other works may also be entered for sale.

Unframed works on paper, wrapped on a rigid support.

Mirrors and art frames in good condition.

You may bring in 10 pieces, but we only guarantee that 5 will be on display at one time.  Last time we were able to show most art by the end of the first day.  (We will have a wait list for those who have more to enter and will include those as we have space.)

QUALITY CONTROL:  (TNSC has the right to refuse submissions that do not meet the criteria below.)

All frames must be in decent to good shape. Noticeably scratched, dented or damaged frames may be refused.

Framed pieces must have hanging wires attached at the back.

Glass must be free of cracks and major scratches and clean of smudges or fingerprints.

Unframed works on paper must be in transparent plastic or shrink wrap and on a rigid backing to protect them during the sale.  (To be displayed in bins.)

No inappropriate images. You may want to check. Email to president@tnsc.ca

The TNSC is not liable for damage to art.  We will do our best to ensure careful handling.

PRICING YOUR ART FOR RESALE:  Please DO NOT leave this until delivery day!

Price items between $15 and $2500

Do your homework!  Look online for resale prices of work by that artist, if applicable. You will not get back what you paid for it, in most cases. Ask your friends what they would pay. Larger pieces usually sell for more than smaller ones. Original art will bring more than a print in general, unless the print is very appealing or from a well-known artist. Use your knowledge of other resale experiences.

Work with a group of others entering the sale and make collaborative decisions on prices.

REGISTRATION: (On drop off day at the Courthouse. Fill paperwork out before you come and pay when you register your pieces. )

Early Bird registration:  $5 per artwork. (Max of 10)
The early bird registration guarantees up to 5 artwork(s) will be displayed on the Sneak Peak evening opening. Art sold is removed immediately, so in the event there are more pieces than spaces, they will be displayed on a “first come, first served basis”.  Having said that, our display area is very large! As pieces sell and space becomes available, new ones will be displayed.

Do you have a story about a piece you are submitting for sale?  Jot it down and tape it to the back of your piece.  It is a powerful sales tactic and was one of the fascinating things about the last Art on the Move.

The Early Bird drop off: May 24, 11:00 – 2:00 at the Old Courthouse, 7 Seymour St. West, Kamloops.

Regular Registration:  $2 per artwork.
Drop off:  May 25,  10am – 3pm,  5– 7pm. Old Courthouse, 7 Seymour St. West, Kamloops
