THOMPSON NICOLA SHUSWAP CHAPTER

OF THE FEDERATION OF CANADIAN ARTISTS

CONSTITUTION

1.     NAME:  The name of the society is Thompson Nicola Shuswap Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists. 

2.     PURPOSES: 

a.     To educate and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the visual arts by providing exhibitions of artistic works and seminars on topics related to such exhibitions.

b.     To provide and make available instructional seminars and written materials related to the visual arts.

c.     To produce art exhibitions for the purposes of educating and advancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of the visual arts and to educate artist through participation in such exhibitions and related workshops.

d.     To educate the public through docent tours of exhibitions.

3.     LOCATION:   The location of the Thompson Nicola Shuswap Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists shall be in Kamloops, British Columbia.

4.     DISSOLUTION:  Upon winding up or dissolution of the Society, the assets which remain after payment of all costs, charges, and expenses which are properly incurred in winding up shall be distributed to such charitable organizations registered under the provisions of the Income Tax Act (Canada) as may be determined by the members of the Society at the time of winding up or dissolution.  This provision shall be unalterable.
