When displaying our work, we aim to exhibit a professional image. To this end, and in accordance with the FCA Policy, March 1, 2018 the following matting and framing standards apply to TNSC and FCA shows;
Environmentally sensitive artwork, such as watercolour and pastel, are required to be framed under glass or plexiglas unless it is varnished in an archival fashion.
Artwork must be submitted with a conventional hanging device and good taste and workmanship should be exercised in framing.
Unframed canvasses must have all sides painted and the staples must be on the back of the stretcher bars.
It is not acceptable to secure framed works under glass with clips.
Any works that arrive at shows with broken glass or frames will not be hung.
The FCA and the TNSC reserve the right to refuse to hang any artwork.
