This diptych is reflective of an arial view of the Thompson Rivers within the Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc nation, where I learn and work. I am grateful room has been made for my family in central BC yet am conflicted at the great cost and consequences of ‘settling’ this land on her First peoples.
