2026 Salmon Art Spring Show

2026 Annual Spring Art Show and Sale

Dates:  May 1 to 16.

 

Hosted by the Thompson Nicola Shuswap Chapter of the FCA and the Atelier Gallery in Salmon Arm.

When:  Drop off is Wednesday April 29, between 10:00 and 2:00.  Pick up after show is Saturday, May 16 (between 2:00  and 4:00 pm.

Where:  Atelier Gallery, 321 Hudson Street, Salmon Arm BC

Who can enter:  Any Exhibiting or Signature artist from the TNS Chapter, the North Okanagan, Central Okanagan and South Okanagan Chapters for the FCA. SFCAs will not be eligible for awards.

Entries:  An eligible artist may enter up to 5 pieces, accepted pieces will be hung subject to space but all will be part of the on-line exhibition.  First entry costs $20, additional entries are $15. Entries must be based on the artist's own reference materials and may not have been awarded a prize at any other FCA show.  Also, entries may not have hung at another TNSC show.

Sales:  Sales will be in person and on-line.  Commission is 30%.

Rules:

  • Submissions cannot have been painted in a workshop.
  • Works that have won an award in another FCA show may not be entered here.  SFCA pieces are not eligible for awards.  
  • If a painting has been shown in a TNSC show in the past, it is not eligible for entry.
  • All works must be based on the artist's own reference material.   You may also use a photo from an amateur photographer, such as a friend, with permission.
  • Maximum size is 48" on tjhe longest side.  (Not counting frame)
  • Regular width canvases must be framed. Deep canvases do not need to be framed but must have painted sides.  You may continue your image onto the edges or paint them a colour that works with your image.
  • works on paper must be on a proper substrate and be appropriately framed, either under glass or protected by sealant and or wax.
  • Wrapped hanging wires and D rings are mandatory. No alligator clips accepted.  If the hanging structure is not correct, the piece will not be hung.  
  • All works must be for sale and once entered, MUST be delivered to the gallery on drop off day. If someone offers to buy it before the show is over, it MUST go through the chapter or gallery, and will be subject to the 30% commission.
  • If a piece is not delivered, it causes an issue for us, so please ensure you get it to Salmon Arm.  Carpooling is encouraged.  No rerunds will be issued.
  • Sales may take place on the website or in the gallery, but the piece must remain on display until the end of the show.
